
A former governor of old Ondo State, Evangelist Bamidele Olumilua, is dead.
The third republic politician reportedly died in the early hours of May 4, 2020.
Evangelist Olumilua as he is fondly called dies in his Ikere country home following a brief illness.
Pa Olumilua ruled old Ondo State between January 1992 and November 1993 under the platform of Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Olumilua was forced to leave office when the late General Sani Abacha took over power.
Olumilua was born in 1940 to a small family in the Ikere local government of Ekiti State. He died at a ripe age of 80 years. He owns Great Expectation Hotel Ikere, among other investments.
He

is the father of the current Ekiti State commissioner of Information, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua.
